best dogfights
« on: June 01, 2009, 07:27:58 PM »
i know, theres been a couple threads like this, but i wasnt gonna bump one. just wondering what people remember as some of their most memorable dogfights in my long absence from the game. I personally remember starting out 2-1 in my lone 38, having a good fight against 2 190's (think they were A8's) was a fun fight. got a few pings here, few pings there on them, nice wingmen tactics, and then a p38 comes from outerspace and drops one of my oils. kept the fight going till i ran out oil, then, completly out of E. twas a fun fight.

I had a great fight with Coprhead/5. in his pony earlier today over TT, what amazed me just as much as the fight was people actually stayed out of our 1 v 1 when asked.

1 in a million that people stay out of a dogfight, specially over TT.

The two that I really remember well are a 4-on-1 over old TT, me in a Spit 16 vs a P-51, P-47, F4U, and a 109 (or a 190) in which I landed 4 kills  ;) . The other was a great fight again batfink that probably only lasted 1-2 minutes, but was very fun! Me in a Spit 5 vs Bat in a Mossi. I unwittingly know thought it was going to be an easy kill, but I had no idea Batfink was piloting it! I came out victories though after taking half his wing off. I let him live  :salute .

Another one that was kinda fun was when I fought a 109 in my Spit 14. Lasted atleast 10 minutes before I ran outta fuel. Neither of us fired a shot, but as I landed my plane in an open field the 109 pilot flew overhead dipping his wings as he RTB'd.

To many to recall...although...if you put yourself in enough "bad" situations, it is amazing how many good dogfights will come of it.  ;)

RumbleB's Ki84 vs my G14 still has a special place in my virtual heart tho...

You Need this by your house:

I dont consider it humble when you run around telling everyone how humble you are.

PS: Sorry for hijack, My favorite fights would have to be those vs. Kazaa, Batfink, Dedalos, and Bighorn.
