My info, Fastest prop plane ever...

There are several faster prop planes:
"officially" Fastest prop plane ever: Tu-114. Fastest prop plane with piston engines: "Rare Bear" F8F. Fastest prop plane in WWII: XP-47J.

...And yes, this hunk of German Iron is totally double-bagger ugly (much like Denholm's revered He-111).   ;)...

The definition of "In the war" should be changed... They where at-least encounterd in the air by Allied pilots a couple times.
Stupidly brilliant idea..., but I dont see it ever making it in unfortunatly.

Ill make you a  bet,... the  A-26 gets in the game before a Dornier-335 does....  :rock (takers?)

Those shows are rife with bad data.  Don't trust anything you get from them.

Well, it may well be that the 335 at certain altitudes was the fastest prop fighter. I have a book with a alt vs speed chart of a 335 nightfighter version.
According to that chart, this version does 380+ at SL, with the external antennas. It was caluclated that the next model, with antennas integrated into the wings and thus no extra drag penalty, would do over 400 at SL. I think this would also be representative for the dayfighter version.
