You can buy velcro that has adhesive on the back side. Clean the surfaces with a little alcohol put the velcro on the stick/throttle base, and set it down where you want it push down firmly. Now the stick and/or throttle will stay where you want and you can remove them when you need too.

I was using velcro before (from Radio Shack......ick)..  The stuff works great if you just move it..  Once I tried to remove the stick and throttle, the velcro peeled off too..
Maybe Rat Shack stuff is cheap.....?

I have found that by eating and drinking at my desk, and keeping my wife away from it, that everything sticks just fine. The cat can't even play with my pencil any more, if I set it down in the right spot.  :D

Umm.. I just dab a little frozen margarita on the tabs and they stick to the desk....  :D

Don't lie to us  :lol Those are just the spots where you spilled margarita on the desk then licked it up  :rofl

Really, try the screwing it down to some plywood and use spring style clamps to hold it in place on your desk.

Mount X52 to a piece of plywood, this can be cut to desired shape and or size. Then simply clamp that to desktop or keyboard tray,a couple of small "C" clamps will do.If you use 1/2 inch ply a 2 inch screw will work fine, rubber tap washers make good spacers to stop screw from going right through the ply.

This can be removed ez so as to not interupt your workstation!

Oh ya,measure your keyboard and allow space for it between the controlers,ez simple and the wife wont send too much ack ur way. :aok

I'm not familiar with the RS stuff. The velcro I'm using is 3M. It sticks good to a clean surface (I use rubbing alcohol and paper towels). I have removed the stick and throttle from their bases many times with out any problems.

I'm also using some rubber matting, but thinking of something more permanent, as the new Cougar HOTAS, that I thought would never move, as it weighs a ton, does move in combat, matting helps, but now thinking of mounting on a board as has been suggested, cheers Fellas.
