It's a beautiful plane and I'd love to fly it and escort it and attack it.

There are many many wonderful skins for that AC and the AvA and scenario guys who cry and laugh in joy if that one was modeled. It's been requested so much and it's such a famous plane, I'd not be surprised to see it in the next few releases (no matter how long those take).

While there are more capable (faster) German Med/Heavy bombers like the Do-217, the He-111 had an excellent reliability and toughness reputation.

It's slow, would be fodder for the Quad Hizooka and 8 gun .50 crowds, but it's a beautiful plane.

I know, these guys never cut me that big of a break, I guess they were just sick of B29 threads...for like 3 weeks and should have been able to vent in that amount of time.


Oh, and +100 on the plane, I was a little disappointed when we got the B25 instead of the He111, if those really were the aircraft being chosen from. That's how I remember it anyway. But now I have consoled myself and fly the B25 regularly

I don't know if anyone in here has been following my "give the people what they want" thread but the 111 is actually the #1 requested plane thus far so you're not alone.  Sadly the B-29, only #3 along with the beaufighter but its getting up there.

Need this so it can be shot down by 303's. 

You can barely shoot it down with 8 303's in IL-2. The 303s make more holes in the wing. The craft falls out of the air because it loses lift rather than sawing through the wings.
