But, if you must put money up front I would suggest every sortie be filmed.

Exactly.....There should be a 3 panel judge system for this.

But then again, if the consensus says no cash.........no cash.  But i still feel like some of the best players would still not show because of it.

Why would the best sticks not show?
I think it would be cool to watch from the air.
No BS, no screaming foul. Just the best against the best :aok
This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children. This is not a way of life at all in any true sense. We used to have sanctioned 2vs2 comeptitions in WBs that I always thought were alot more fun than 1v1s tended to be.  Fostering teamwork and working with Pairs, as was more traditional tactics of the era.

Maybe something to consider if someone was looking for a job.

I know several sticks that skill levels exceeded the challenge of the game and thus, no longer participates often or at all.  That is sad to me. Especially those I looked up to for knowledge and as an understudy.

So if its for free, well, I just dont think they be interested as much and might not entice them to come back. In terms of pure competition, they been there-done that.

I'd love to participate in a 1 vs 1 bracketed tourney but sorry... not going to pay to do it.

The last time I tried to participate in a dueling ladder the first person never responded and the next one took almost two weeks.  By that time I had quit.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Offering cash prizes will make this a less friendly event participated in for all the wrong reasons...

Yup. +1

Pure hogwash. Go ahead and name several sticks who no longer play because they got too good for the game.
