Sorry raider, I'm not being clear about the shenanigans call. I'm calling shenanigans on anyone who told you they were no longer challenged in the game. I've flown against all of the past and current greats and not one of them was unbeatable. I never ran into anyone who could run the table in the MA.

Anyone can be beaten by anyone, really.  But I think it's a fair statement to claim that many vets have left or no longer fly as much because they have reached a point where the typical MA sortie no longer excites them...

The DA is a blast, but you've got to get everyone on at the same time, which is difficult to do for a sustained period due to real life and such.

I have beaten and have been beaten by every person in this thread having started on equal terms. So take that. I thump my chest and your chest.

1v1 is plain old fashiond dueling....just start a dueling ladder or something equally mundane.

Much better and more entertaining for everyone would be a 2v2 competition.  I nominate YOU to pursue this idea.

Any tournament ladder has to be free.  It is impractical and possibly illegal to administer any cash prizes where there is an entry fee.

The details to be hashed out:
1. Schedule
2. Airframes and loadouts
3. Start positions
4. Rules of engagement.

My take? A quick start feature that puts two planes co-alt, at the same speed, nose on at 6.0k distance, restricted to staying within a dar circle.  First one to die loses.  One tournament/ladder for each fighter airframe.

Ok, here is the thing, someone else posted that it is a hastle to link up with others to do the tournament.  You charge the sum, you LOSE it if your a no show and the other advances.  Obviously, more details to make this happen.  But this is why you have money involved.

Money involved raises competition and people won't flake or hold up the tourney.  Unfortunately I'm in the minority with this thought. <dammit>

Excellent idea!!! +1

Sort of hijack/sort of just tossing names out. I've always been interested in finding some film of Drex, Leviathan, Bighorn, and Creton. Those are the big names of the past that I've heard were "untouchable". I actually had the pleasure of working with Bighorn for 30 minutes or so when I was very new. Was aw struck by his ability.

Drex is off playing a fairy princess (i.e. human mage) to my knight in shining armor (i.e. human warrior tank) in World of Warcraft these days.  We rarely if ever fly anymore, but I do my best to let him grab aggro on bosses and then taunt a second too late, if it's any consolation.

So that's Drex's WoW character in your avatar?

That avatar is not nearly effeminate enough to reflect Drex's WoW character completely.
