This was posted in the original thread.
32 man double elimination tournament (best 2 out of 3)

Total-63 matches
20 minutes a match(may not be possible)
on 8 fields (which we have)
The whole tournament one night and less than 3 hours

immmmm IN

Now we re talking. Make it an event. Or multiple events. Time zone friendly.

my response: I would prefer attending the matches based on the times available for each pilot, a mutual time agreement per match. Some people are overseas, and it would be difficult for them to make an event based on EST or PST's. Further,  an event like this is easily disrupted by the 'others' in the DA; perfect example is TanK Klub.

ex:
If I draw Vudak, he could say I'm available this Sunday 10pm est, are you?  Post the results of the 2/3 and move on.

How's this gonna be handled?

Hey RufLeak,

Don't stress too much about the rules before they've even had a chance to be broken.  We've got a nice mix of veteran and rookie duelers here, and it will all balance out :aok

No stress.  Just keen interest.

Though I would wager that the first round will yield at least one whine or accusation.  It is best to either keep it simple or risk analysis paralysis.

On the issue of video review:

What will be the process for a contested 1st or 2nd round?  Will a win be reversed?

Sorry.  Can't help myself.  No stress.

I am in and defer to the ROE as defined by BaldEagl.  I am just thinking through the "what if" situations.

I have no doubt there will be a few whines or accusations, but I seriously doubt the types who would do that will be the types who will win this.  If you're having fun here, carry on, but if not, don't worry :)

Just some thoughts i have:

All flights must filmed (Kinda common sense but people forget).

If both parties consent to a "do over" for an infraction of the rules I'm OK with it, but it has to be in text.

If one party is not in agreement of the above films must be sent in for review. I would also think that the fight should be rescheduled til after a judgment is made.

These r just some ideas to ease the conflict a little.

Most people who will fly will

just talk about random stuff but please stay on topic

Why, whats the worst that can happen  :D (see sig for details lol.......)

On a more serious note, for those of us who aren't as good as we'd like, use this as a learning opportunity.

On separation restrictions:

There are three airfields in each canyon in the DA.  They are arranged in a line, north to south.  Players launch from the north and south field for a merge over the center field.  The fight must stay inside the center fields dar circle.

This doesn't answer the question of disputes and film review.  It is just another way to bound the fight.

On third party interference:

Is it possible for uninvited people to interfere?  Other than a severe wedgie for the interloper, what can be done about it?

This is my last ROE post.  Vudak told me not to stress.  I'll save my stress for when Vudak is on my six.
