Saitek - Where do you get the drivers?
« on: July 11, 2009, 08:03:44 PM »
I have looked everywhere for the latest x-52 drivers and profile software. I see references to them on the official Saitek forums.

I can't get to any Saitek sites, besides their forum, and it has been that way for the last week. There are other links, but they all seem to refer to installing some third party driver update software. Which I am not willing to do, because it isn't affiliated with Saitek in any way.

If you can find a link that actually works it would be very appreciated!

It seems the Saitek website isn't operating right now. Give it a few days and you should be able to find them here:

I was reinstalling windows today and couldn't find my Saitek CD. Went to their site & started to download the software at 20 k/s. Transfer stopped twoce after about 30 mins each time. After that, I couldn't even get to their homepage anymore.

Anyone know of an alternate site that doesn't require third party applications be installed to get drivers?

Yeah, unfortunately you can't get the additional "modes" to work though. It recognizes all of the modes as being the same buttons, and I would like to  remap the the info and the mouse buttons.

It works fine but with only about a third of the programming buttons that should be available.

Thank you I really appreciate the offer.

I have the install disc as well. Unfortunately, the profiler that comes on the disc has issues under Vista(it crashes for me as soon as I select a different mode to program). The latest version is supposed to fix many of these issues and give a new interface to do the programming. It came out in the last few weeks.

It is just really odd that the Saitek site has been down for so long lately.

If someone grabbed the latest package in the last few weeks that would be great, or if they could point me to an alternate location where the files are posted that would be even better. The only place that claims to have the drivers wants you to install their driver management package to get them. I just don't trust that at all.

Have you tried this site:

ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/

I have been able to download any and all Saitek software from here in the past.

The most recent Saitek X52 software that I have found is:

SST software:  SST_Software_32_6_6_6_9.exe.
Drivers:           SST_Software_32_6_6_6_9.exe.

Thanks Neil,

Apparently, they finally go their site going again later this morning. I had tried the ftp site before, and that was down as well. I grabbed everything today at work (was afraid the site might crash again)., threw it on a USB drive and will take it home with me tonight.
