drop alt - max speed
1 ft - 220 mph
100 ft - 200 mph
200 ft - 180 mph
300 ft - 160 mph
400 ft - 140 mph
These are rough parameters that worked for me offline, to be sure torps will leave plane ok, be bit lower or slower than figures above.
Chatted with HT yesterday and he told me that deciding factor is torpedo's impact speed on surface which is ofcourse correct. As the torp falls trough air it picks up downward velocity caused by gravity. The higher the torp is dropped, the higer will the vertical velocity component be.
This means that in very low you can drop the torpedo at speed of 220 mph but at 400 ft the plane speed can only be something like 140 mph.
