Midwar 4/20/09: The Aftermath
« on: July 21, 2009, 07:18:27 AM »
Last night was probably one of the best nights ive seen in the midwar. It was a great time, i hope everyone that participated had as much fun as i did......well maybe except the knights.

last night as i came in, we found we had no carrier, the rooks also had no carrier so, working together, we came up with a plan to get both carriers back. The rooks and the bishops formed a somewhat unsavory alliance and we sent out scouts and bombed and sank each others carriers, which had been captured by the Knights.

it was a wild night of tension, planning, diversion and execution of tactics. The bishops send Bear out to scout for the boat and found it just south of 41. once the boat was found, Jaeger1 and Tbarone set out in lancasters to kill it. Bear hit the boat but not solid enough. Tbarone was next and came in at 7k and smoked the Carrier. Then Jaeger1, at 12k,not to be denied, sank the cruiser, and whacked the Radar at 41.

the Knights send up a lone hurricane after Jaeger1 but the pilot couldnt manage to shoot down Jaeger1's bombers. Tbarone also returned safely to base. another fine example of JG54 planning and execution.

Soon thereafter a concerted effort began on 46. with tbarone in bombers, and Jaeger1 as Jabo/bait, we went after 46. Tbarone killed 2 hanger and softened the 3d. jaeger1 dove in to get the Lone flack that was defending the base and the auto-ack. missing first and second drops on the flack, the flack ended up getting Jaeger1. <S> to the lone flacker. Then Tbarone came back and nailed the 3d hanger and the flacker retreated into the woods. Tbarone made a low pass at the flacker but he got Tbarone, with the help of another aircraft in the area. with Jaeger1 flying again as Jabo/Bait, and larry in a goon, the base was finally taken.

Then it was off to 47. a full GV assault began on 47. most of the JG54 boys, hammered the town and tried to keep the IL-2's at bay in the process. akak and company valiantly defended the base and punished JG54 as they tryed to assault the base. With IL-2's, B-25H's and some smaller aircraft, the onslaught was totally intense!

we managed to get the town mostly down and then, here comes snowman2 and friends asking what they can do to help. with the extra air cover, JG54 finished the town and took the base successfully. <S> to AkAk and company and <S> to snowman2 and friends. it was a great fight and alot of fun!!

<S> to all that played last night. It was a great time!!

it was fun. it sounds like you came in just as i was leaving. i was in the defense of 11, 12, and 7. we lost em all, as we were seriously overwhelmed, and there was osceola on the knights side, dropping supplies out at 12 for the attackers. he was filmed, trying to make some of my squaddies killshoot themselves too.
once the vh came back up, a bunch of us got out, and ate up all the supplies he had left for them.

i'm pretty sure he also reported the positions of some of our cv's to the enemies, as they mysteriously came under attack, and there were no scouts ever sent into those areas.

i dunno if he's in your squad or not, but you guys don't need people to do that. you're all much much better than that.
]

i should add, that although a few of my squaddies were gettin somewhat upset at some of the tactics........i had a frakkin BLAST.......although i died much more than i killed. it didnt matter. it was my first time in gv's in a long time, and i had fun at it.  :aok

i couldn't fly a fighter for most of the time i was on last night, as i was soaking my foot.........but i was in a gv at v11, watching the fight above. i kept thinking the pony there was you. he was being very careful to keep clear of ground fire, and not letting himself get dragged into the hornets nest of the fight.

like i said, it was all fun.........except when llgaf snuk up on me while i was trying to sneak up on the port,  :rofl :noid :rofl

i've only ever squelched one person in this game. that player used to be with you guys.

i generally enjoy the amusement of 200, especially when i'm in a bomber, or gv.

Osceola County is a county located in the U.S. state of Florida.

Hmmmm .... 2 + 2 = ?

If he was on the Knights side ... then he surely gave up the CV positions ... it's happened before.

there were some mad about it. i didnt care. when someone does that, you just outsmart em, and beat em at their own game.  :devil

i was gonna start talkin about why i couldn't fly a fighter again, just to get em all to be quiet.  :rofl :noid

was a very fun night on the knight side, lots of targets to shoot at, could have been better without the two spies!
i will refrain from naming them. BECAUSE I KNOW IT HAPPENS ON ALL SIDES !!
i was sure there was an alliance between rook and bish, your attacks were all too well coordinated, well thought out and well executed!
i helped out at 11 and 12 till i went home, still had 12 when i left!
it is good to know that in order for the knights to get wooped up on, bish and rooks have to team up.   lol JK

Ahhh...so that is why Nisr switched to Knights.  Unfortunately, he wasn't too bright and started to call out the Knit CV position over country radio until we pointed that his Bish buddies can't hear his reports on Knit country channel.  Despite the tool that is Nisr, it was a fun night.

When they do that they have already lost. Any squad that would have them after knowing this is no better. Plain and simple bottom feeders.

Guess we'll all see what JG54 does about it.  After all a squad is no better than its weakest link.

Was it really that long ago that a furballer did pretty much the same thing, and was praised for it?

<---  Still of the opinion that taking a CV and hiding it is lame.  They provide some of the best fights.

Anyone who does it is a bottom feeder.

I have warned folks on opposing sides when ever I find out someone on their team is divulging info across channels.

vudak what does furballer have to do with it. You trying to split hairs? Everyone means everyone.
