Random glitch
« on: July 21, 2009, 11:24:05 PM »
I have been getting random screen lockups, just for a micro sec, not enough to cause real problems but it does happen. Particularly in high traffic situations. Any solutions?

AlacrityPC helps with my system.

Get it install it and use it?

It stops things before you go into AH, and will even clean up your memory first, and then restarts em when your done so if you make a mistake NP as nothing it does is permanent.

That and turn off other plane skins?

Those micro freezes are often your system LOADING the skin... Skuzzy said NO one has enough memory on their system to load ALL the skins.

My system is AH specific. No other programs other than that needed for AH. I do have the skins enabled. I'll see if it helps to disable it. Not a big problem, just a minor anoyance right now.

You might also consider performing a defrag of the partition/HD that runs AH. It might help reduce that stutter.

Sound card? Also, check processes running and check to see if dxdiag hardware accelerator is at 3/4. That's all I got captain.

Did you delete your old drivers before installing the sblive? There's a program that will get rid of old drivers. I can't remember it's name though.

If you are using  the ch manager and getting periodic freezes you might try adjusting the character rate, I had this problem.

This setting is in the first tab when you open the map...worked well for me
