I own a 02' Trailblazer. If you face your subs towards the rear hatch you will get a lot more kick out of it. I have a 12" Rockford in a slotted box. After much playing around with it I realized that would max the output. If you sit in the front and hold a lighter up the sub will put the flame out. I also installed the amp into the back of the left rear passenger seat so it is hidden behind the sub and less wires giving it a cleaner look. I also run the power from underneath the left rear passenger seat from the power box located there. I dont know if later years have this.

Just an idea, but I went to Home Depot and picked up some cheap blue spray paint and colored my dome lights. So when you light up your interior its gives it a nice blue tint. Cheap upgrade that can add quite a bit to your look on the inside.
