Just got the same issue after downloading the full 2.14 patch 1 installer.

Figured it out...the file is only 58 MB in size...for some reason the install file is nerfed up...trying the alternate download.

*note* used the alternate download link and the full 2.141 download installer works.

I just went straight to the Aces High website and downloaded the patches there. Gave me no problem. Vista users remember to run as administrator in order for the downloads to work right.

Well, the autoupdater piss me off. I'm not waiting an hour to download. If HTC force me to use the autoupdater I'll wait until they figure out how to host it on their main download page properly.

I'm NOT sitting an hour staring at the autoupdater downloading something I can have in ~5 minutes downloading in the background.

Don't know what you're referring to.  We don't force anybody to use the autoupdater.  The patch is linked right off the main page from the news blurb about the release.

What is with people around here? It's like a room full of Romper Room kids without their desert...there are posts all over the forums telling people how to get the updates...what problems they're facing...many are getting fixed and those fixes are being posted as well...



I don't see this much b.s when I take down major database servers where I work.

Is your opinion relevant on this subject?

I overlooked Pyro's link as checking the main site had the convention news on top, just as last time I checked sure that was days ago but still. There are literally 100s of threads going "oooh" & "aaah" about the new update and at 0230 hrs I'm not rummaging around the BBS to find the right one. So I check the game download page, where btw I've always wondered why patches aren't listed? I did not consider that a problem this time though as it seemed the full version was available, but it wasn't.

See how things can get overly complicated when it doesn't have to?

So now you actually got me explaining the situation to people on a BBS which doesn't have the slightest impact on my real life, I guess that's what you wanted, or something along those lines so congrats for making me waste my time.
