I was referring to there being no small hills left anywhere (can't go hull down) and forest density is much lower.

We lost a great many things.

Lost
• beach obstacles
• decent ground clutter - someone slaughtered all the sheep!
(looks like I'm driving across the sargasso sea when I'm in a GV)
• structures and terrain for GV's
• hills (can't find any, but that might just be me)
• wakes (unless you can run the game with details)
• decent water (with detail turned down the tiling looks hideous)
• trouble-free performance

I'm, sorry to say this but the terrain is far less interesting
now.  It looks kike a photo from the sky but thats about it.

Gained
• shiny water with kewl reflections
• 2 planes (that didn't require an entire upgrade to get, BTW)
• headaches
• anything I missed here??

So, was the trade-off worth it?  Not for me.
I have upgrade fatigue and won't be buying any
new hardware for my PC.  Personally, I'm hoping
Dale & crew will figure out a way to amake it work
across his client base, and not just for those who
can afford to build a PC around a game.

 1.5  I will adjust my settings when I've sent Skuzzy a DXDIAG and also givin a bit of time for HTC and company to work out a few things . I figure about 2 to 3 weeks and then tweek it out . I run it very well in the default mode now and have very very small stutters , not a big enough deal to cry over . It is a nice upgrade .

 Oh what I like most is the water/ocean it now rolls and swells , got shot down over water which is normal for me and I bobbed up and down in the ocean . Loved it . And all cockpits look better and planes just view a bit more sharp or at least it seems like that to me .
