Orange,

Don't let the handful of perfect people on this board
who flame everyone with their one sentence wit bother you.
You have a right to your opinion and to present it on the forum
that HiTech provided for doing just that.

I understand that you are upset and feel as though the
game is being put out of your reach. I've
been there and still struggle with that..but...
lets get this kitty purring while we await further
fixes...

If you haven't done so, please check out a
thread I  just posted.  Some of the suggestions and
settings there might be useful to get the game playing
satisfactorily for you while you await further patches.

http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,270637.0.html

I've tried to make it very clear and have used a copious
amount of screencaps to illustrate every setting.  I hope
it yields the results I'm hoping for. :salute

As far as the discos go, I've been hit by them too.
Today and last night during a massive mission - we had
like 25 discos at the same time!  My mission was wiped out!!
But be assured that the discos will most definitely get
fixed.  I am certain of that and have every confidence
in HTC.

So, try these settings if you need to an please post back
and let me know if this works out for you. :) :salute

I'm really ashamed for some of the stuff these posters are putting out. HTC has delivered the update everyone was wanting

It ain't the update I was wanting, and judging by the number of complaints I'm far from alone.

most of what I see on these boards are complaints!

Um... yeah. We're paying money for something that doesn't work. Damn straight we're complaining! If I take my car to the shop and it comes out still broken, I want my money back or the car fixed. If I buy a ticket to a movie, I want to sit back and watch a movie, not to be told what I have to do to the projector in order to make it work. If I don't get that it isn't a "whine" or "crying," it's a legitimate complaint.

How do you think the folks at HTC feel when you call all their hard work a pile o' crap?

Hopefully motivated to fix it after they see how unhappy many of their customers are.

If you have a problem, roll up your sleeves and try to solve it.

Look, I've already got a day job and this ain't it. I play AH2 to relax and have fun, not to take on some technological challenge. And this isn't some sort of open source community project, it's a business with paying customers. If they want to keep their customers, they need to provide a usable product, it's that simple. I'm not going to quit the game after one day, and I don't expect HTC to go to the ends of the Earth for one customer, but like I said above, I'm far from the only one having problems.

Thanks for the help, 96Delta, I'll see what I can do.

Sounds like your PC's got some issues Orange.

Discoed 4 times today. Game running like crap when I'm not discoed, stops and starts so bad "stuttering" doesn't even begin to describe it. I've got detailed terrain off and my frame rate is around 60 most of the time, so it isn't that, and anyway this didn't happen all week, only since the latest patch. A couple of others I talked to got discoed multiple times today as well.

Work the bugs out, HTC, or revert to the old version. I'll tolerate the crappy graphics if others want to have their chrome, but I ain't paying $14.95 to stare at a black screen.

Many have legitimate problems and are posting here, frustrated, so's we can all help them out. God knows how many E-mails and tech support questions AH is fielding. I can sympathize with long time players running into a wall, and those who cant stretch a buck to buy new.

Its the Queens i cant stomach however.

To miss this guy you would have to be in a locomotive when he pulled his Zeke into a break turn.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I agree with Ghost. There are so many whine threads about the update. Trainer or not he is going to get frustrated with all of them (along with alot of other people)

We had over a month to test beta. It is their fault they didn't D/L it and try fixing it then. Instead, some procrastinated and bring it to the boards now.

For those of you who ran beta and have done everything you can - this doesn't include you.

All the tech issues could have 1.) been posted in the correct forum and 2.) consolidated into one thread so HTC staff doesn't need to read through 100 topics in 2-3 different forum sections.

People, give them time. 2.14 hasn't even been out for a full week yet. They know people are having issues, so you can expect they'll do whatever they can to fix them.

Sheesh guys, give Ghosth a break.  It's not like the OP was being even borderline respectful.  Just look at the title.

And consider how much longer it would've taken to put this patch out if HTC had waited to have it in perfect shape, without the massive amount of feedback they got from the open beta and directly post-release.

You must be the head Turd. You don't belong here. You have no idea what your doing and shouldn't be playing this level of computer game for a hobby. It is out of your league. You need to invest in a game boy.

Wait a second, not like I disagree with Ghosth...complete opposite.

There is, however, an added responsibility when you are representing anyone's business in any manner.  If it were Ghosth's business, he can talk to any paying customer in whatever way he feels.  It is not.  It is Dale's.

Whether or not I agreed with him, if it were my business, that tag is gone.  It simply isn't his place to represent me and cut down a customer. The customer presented it wrong, but the customer is always right.  If you expect to collect his 180 bucks per year to play a game, you must treat it that way.  It is Ghosth's responsibility to simply show him where he might communicate this with those actually involved in Hitech, where he might fix his issue.

As it were, the tag only implies that Ghosth is affiliated with HTC in any way, and that's dangerous in business.  It gives the mistaken impression that that is the company line, to those that don't understand the difference between a "trainer" and the guys at Hitech.
