Actually, I was thinking about doing a German translation of the Trainer Corps Pages for some time.

That sounds like a worthwhile effort. Perhaps on the Wiki with a link from the htc Help pages?

I really don't think mutliple languages on country or 200 are a good idea for the community. Better broken communication in a common language than babylonian confusion.
Imagine the text buffer scrolling down and you are not able to understand half of the things that's being talked there. All this German, French, Spanish and Finnish...
And of course HTC would have to monitor each language for insults & such.

I do talk in German on help channel, I don't have problem with any language there. I sometimes write one or two sentences in German on other channels,

But every conversation in German on other public  channels I quickly try to take to a private channel, out of courtesy to all the other players.

English is the official language internationally for aviation.  So why not in here?

Well, we are not really aviators... just gamers ;)
English is the language of this game because it's as US based company, American designer and the majority are US players.
And not because there is some sort of regulation...

The staff at aceshigh may live in America but they were all born in a pie shop in a small town called Wigan in the north of England.
The pie shop was hit by the mad cow disease problem and thus had to find alternative options to gain new trade ie aceshigh which is a anagram of no more pies please. :uhoh

When I visited my parents last week, i took the time to walk around all those places of my youth, on a sunny sunday afternoon.
No kids. The playgrounds were deserted, the woods silent, only adults at the riverside.

maybe because of summer holidays? ...just joking :D

But you are right, you don´t see a lot of kids outside. Most of them stay at home. Its kind of they have a social phobia or a PC/Internet/XBox addiction. I guess there are a lot of (non english speaking) european players who would like to play this game. All the instructions are in English, communication is in English and if you are hooked to the game, you have to pay. Thats ok, but kind of complicated, cause not all have credit cards. Money order seems to be complicated too. Easier would be, something like paypal.

Wow, I didn't see that.  Way to go, Wraith :aok

I think the glossary and controls reference were very good places to start (hint hint Lusche :) ).

with more europeans the arenas will be in a constant state of anarchy.
Here here. Being English and, going on the current state of our own country and EU Parliament, anarchy is all we can bring you.

Run while you can  :lol :rofl
Do you really think we sit around here trying to find ways to piss off the customer base?
