I do believe the same was said about the I-16 and the Brewster.....

Maybe give it a chance before slamming it

Not slamming it, infact, I would love to see the HE 111 added in game, but I disagreed on his statement that it's "more important" than the Do.217. Plus, Lusche pointed out some really good facts. ;)
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Forgive me trig, I wasn't so much meaning that towards you, it was more just to everyone who says 'No point having this, its a Hanger Queen'. I would personally like to see both of them added, simply because it would keep almost everyone happy. The 'Uber-Ride' police get their big bomber, and us Historical geeks get the HE111

The Do 217 is far from an uber-ride; I think that among German bombers, that would go to the He 177.

The Do 217 is to mid-war scenarios what the He 111 would be to early-war, though in a different way-

The He 111, being much slower than the Ju 88 gives allied fighters a better chance in very early scenarios. The Do 217 being much faster and slightly better armed than the Ju 88 gives Axis bomber pilots a much better chance of survival in mid war scenarios, where a spot in the Ju 88 is pretty much a suicide mission.

Ok, maybe 'Uber Ride' was the wrong phrase. For that I'm sorry. I would still like to see the HE111 before, but I'm happy for any plane, bar the infamous b....... but lets not go there. I'm sure the DO 219 would be a good plane. I was more just meaning its another plane that wont fit into the lacking EW plane set. MW has Adequate planes and the LW has ample, but the EW is decidedly lacking in variety.

Do 217 was in service from late 40/early 41 on -> EW

And flying German or even "axis", LW is massively lacking in variety as far as bombers are concerned

Allied Bombers: B-17, B-24, B-26, Lancaster, B-25C, Boston III - Speed, firepower, payload.. you want it? You got it
Axis Bombers: Ju-88, Ki-67 Hmm either slow and almost defenseless with a good payload, or fast with less payload than an allied fighter-bomber ;)
