Bump for new info...

Most of the major hurdles, finding a cm, clearing issues with the logs, rules, stuff like that, have been cleared. I am shooting to get the event off in about a month or so, perhaps on the FSO off week. The exact date is up to the hosting CM but I still hope to have a Saturday or Sunday slot. Barring any eureka moments the event will follow the previous rules and general outline. As far as I know this will be the first competition of this type in AH, its shaping up to be an absolute blast! See you there....

 :aok

I will post specifics (date, time, etc) when the event has been finalized, stay tuned!

I am staring at a ... well Trophy/Bust from a Bombing Competition from War Birds at a Convention back in... 99 maybee?

Actually it was the A/G competition.

Accuracy is simple for HTC to figure, they get the plot point of impact from the target, mine happened to be 0/0, IE Dead on target. From a P38 no less.

But yes, it should be possible and I am sure that a member of HTC can return results of accuracy and the GM's can ensure that all the variables/rules are followed for a score to be counted.

Should be a good time. i am not much of a bomber tho, I prefer the Fighter/Bomber.

HatTrick,
Accuracy is will not be a apart of the scoring criteria per say. I considered that type of format but decided it lacked any creativity. Figuring out the scoring verses drop altitude would be a nightmare. If you set a specific altitude your basically back to a one dimensional competition. Having this open format will bring a lot of different styles to the table. Flying this would be a lot of fun for me but I am going to be running it. Given the opportunity I would probably take a B-26 or Ki-67 up to 30,000 feet and pray. As it is I think your going to see a bunch of B-17s and B-24s anywhere from 15,000 to 25,000 feet. I want every plane to have an equal shot and get some of the hanger queens involved.
