Sign me up!!! And 999000, most of us are not capable of bombing AND gunning at the same time. We can do one or the other, not both.

I hear 999000 is not very experienced with bombing/gunning, you should give him some help in that area.

Instant respawn might mean some buildings are blown up twice or more when dropping salvos of 1k bombs, would a 10 second respawn be more accurate for scoring methods?

And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

Good God, not me. I can only be described as average unless you call a ktd ratio of 5 or6 :1 good.

I wound plenty of planes, but I don't usually kill them unless I, for some reason known only to god, make it for longer than 5 minutes. I usually loose track of which plane comes in close enough for me to hurt them bad enough to make the shot worth it.

Only planes with bomb sights will be enabled and bombs will be dropped from F6 view.'

Planeset....
Ar-234
B-17
B-24
B-25C
B-26
Boston MkIII
Ju-88A-4
Ki-67
Lancaster
TBM-3

That was just remind people of the various choices we have.

Mechanic, point taken and I will definitely move that out to a few seconds.  (For the curious, the idea behind re-spawn is to allow targets to be attacked by multiple players .)

TonyJoey, thanks mate!  :salute

Sounds good however how will we know what the wind direction and speed is if its not posted to the pilots/bombedier if we dont know wind direction and speed we wont be able to compensate for the drop? If were just gonna have to drop all the sticks into the wind and hope we hit something that doesnt sound like much fun to me. Also will the wind speed change by altitude or be the same wether youre 20k or 10k??  Higher the altitudes meen higher wind speeds IRL.The idea sounds good but theres alot of details that need to be worked out before hand.IMHO

The official speed and direction will be posted on the MOTD right before start. The wind is
also on your clipboard map if you right click and select wind. I am still researching the wind layers
typically found in real life situations. Practice will have a similar wind setup but it will not be the
same during competition. Not revealing the exact direction until competition will insure everyone
is on a fair playing field. If you know the exact wind you can practice the drop over and over until
you perfect it. This would make hitting a target a lot easier if you know the exact windage required
come competition day.

Bomb sight will be set to manual mode...

BTW.....

I want to point out this challenge also requires you to tulips your own skills and abilities.
Bombing from a lower altitude may insure your odds on hitting your target. Going in at lower
altitude while getting descent hits is far better than going high and getting no hits. Couple
that with the infinite choice of ordnance, target and plane choices and its going to take real
skill to win.
