Not to put down your thoughts, but do you think people will fly in it?  The Ju-88 only has a strong following as a torpedo bomber, which as far as I know, He-111s and Do-217s were not used in service with torpedo's.  I have my doubts, even the tardiest of tards prefer a B-26 or B-25 instead of the Ju-88, what reason would they have to fly the He-111 or Do-217?
You make the assumption that the Do 217 is a contemporary to the Ju 88 or the He 111... this is an incorrect assumption. The Do 217 would be faster, carry a larger bomb load and be better defensively armed than the Ju 88. Dornier's contermporary to the Ju 88 and the He 111 was the Do 17. The Do 217 is a generation onward.

Other than the Lancaster, the Ju-88 is the only plane in the game that can reliably take out six hangers.

Used effectively, under clear skies, the Ju-88 is a work horse in the AH2 bomber world.

?? Are you on drugs?  Take out six hangers? Assuming it would get close enough to the field, and that it would be able to drop all 24 of its bombs directly on the hangers?  It only carries lets see, 20 x 50kg bombs and 4 x 250kg bombs, this only equals out to 3,000 lbs if I'm correct, enough to destroy !1! hanger.  "But oh yeah, its got drones that drop too"  Most all fighters WILL catch you and WILL kill you most likely, I mean its not like a few MGs (less than half of the B-24's amount of MGs or the B-17's) won't protect you from enemy fighters.  Yeah, it may dominate the skies of Early and Mid-war, but come on, your going to make a plane just for that?  We ALREADY HAVE THE I-16 and BREWSTER.

And just because we do not have it for scenarios, we should add it?????  That's crazy, we could have used tons and I mean TONS of other planes in scenarios, that frankly, I doubt we will ever have, but should we add them anyway?  Well, you tell me.

Please take the time to engage your brain before typing.........

Twenty 50kg bombs is 1000 kilos.......

Four 500kg bombs is 2000 kilos.......

3000 kilos is around 6700 lbs which is several hundred pounds more that the B-17.

As for the hangers....salvo ten 50 kilo bombs for two hangers and salvo one 500 kilo bomb for each hanger afterwards.

For a grand total of SIX hangers.....also, notice the "used effectively, under clear skies" comment.

Edit: Of course this is using formations.....

The JU-88 hs incredibly low surviability.

Still, my point is correct, the JU-88 is almost 99% of the time used as only a torp. bomber in the Late War arenas, and is not often used a bomber due to its low survivability.  Why would we add the Heinkel which isnt much better?

Your point is not correct. The 88 is used a LOT more as a bomber than a mere 1%. Actually it's used in a pure bomber role most of the time, though of course the absolute numbers are much less than it's Allied counterparts.

Only a tiny fraction of the 107 Ju88's I killed in Late War during this year so far were torpedo bombers.

If you spend the time to climb to 15,000 feet the Ju-88 is just as survivable as the four engine bombers at lower altitudes. Due to differences in climb rate thats about the same time spent climbing as a 10,000 foot B-24. At a 15,000 feet cruise your going to get to target with a full formation nine out of ten times or better....

Edit: If you go in below 10,000 feet it doesnt matter what bomber your in most of the time at least in high traffic areas anyway.

I was not talking about putting the planes in, just wondering what everybodys favorite bomber is. It's not like every time we talk about a plane were putting it in.
