funked, the 190A8 can carry only one egg, making the jabo role a third part role in the lines of "I wonder if we can fit a bomb on this plane..."
The P-51 had some serious thoughts produced with regards to the JABO role - hence all the big eggs and rockets. Same for P-47m, Chog, dhog, P-38, Typhoon.
Calling the a5/a8 a jabo plane because it can cary one egg is like saying the Spit IX is a dedicated jabo plane.
Would be nice to have a plane that can take ot more than one panzer before rearming. The chog can take out dozens, the P-51 at least 2.
BigJoe, it's not about being able to carry one egg - it's about aircraft roles. If we want a JABO, theF8 or G8 are the planes we want to look at - not a heavy buff interceptor or a fighter that someone attached one egg to and called a jabo. If you call the a8 a jabo, would that make the G8 an über-jabo?
Why did the Germans bother with the F8/G8? I am quite confident there was a reason that is obvious for most to see.
I challenge you allied dweebs to take only one egg every time you do jabo missions. frequently, our squad falis to capture bases because we run outta eggs to deal with flak/pnz's with.
