that's a harrier. not a hornet.

IIRC, the Harrier can't carry a center tank. That's where the landing gear is.

Harriers have two landing gear right under the fuselage and two smaller wing point gear (or whatever you would call them).  Now are there any variations that would allow for a fuselage tank?  Just curious.

And I agree Mirage F1.

This is a Mirage F.1

This is a Sepecat Jaguar

Any questions?

Note that the fighter in the original video has no dihedral or anhedral of the elevators, whereas the Jaguar has pronounced anhedral (as does the Harrier). Anhedral means that the elevator angles downward from the fuselage (as does that of the Phantom II).

I don't see that anyone can argue that the fighter in the video is not a Mirage F.1. It's certainly NOT a Jaguar.

Looked over that video 100 times and looked at the pics widewing posted.  It is clearly a Mirage.  there are five points i look for in the video and from the mirage and jaguar.  I can see clearly the five point in the video that indicated it is a mirage.

Instant giveaway is the French DPM on the very cool and collected guy and definitely a Mirage F1. Which is one of my favourite jets as it happens. A few centimetres lower and it would have been a very different video. :O

I'm not much a fan of the F1 but it may change in the future, that front view looks racy and agressive :)

Agree...Mirage F1.

And a Frenchman with the common sense of a possum on an interstate....

My regards,

Widewing

Couldn't of said it better.  :D

As for someone mislableing it as an F-18...  I'll get the tar and feathers.
