Rkat, does that mean I'm right!?!  WOOHOO!  

I knew the plane was fast, but I wouldn't have thought it to be the "fastest piston engined fighter of all time" though.  (Do you know if that was with guns and ammo, or what exactly were the conditions of the test.)

Sorry guys, one prototype flown in 1946 doesn't meet the subject parameters.

Must have flown in combat and had significant numbers produced.

It's too ugly anyways.  Almost as ugly as a Corsair!

Do I at least get 50% credit???    Ok, I'll go for P47-M as fastest production fighter of WWII.  (Hey, the ME 163 had a prop on it too ... of course it was for power generation.   )
