Cheapshot? Please, it was clear that the boise player said something to him and after a loss I can't blame him but saying something to fans and coaches is different

Blount made statements about Oregon getting even....remarks were made by the commentators during the game.
It's a cheapshot IMO because Haut had already turned away and was being confronted by his coach.
Had Blount stepped in front of Haut and squared up with him, then knocked him down, my opinion would be much different.  Haut screwed up by taking his helmet off in the first place.......my coaches let us know that taunting and running your mouth wasn't tolerated, but in cases where there was obvious hard feelings after a game, common sense told us to NEVER take those helmets off til we were in the locker room or no players from the opposing team were left on the field.
Regardless......Blount made statements about Oregon getting even for last season's loss and a butt whooping.......when it mattered, during the game, he didn't deliver, nor did his teammates.

Both players were wrong but imo the boise player gets the consequence of what he said

I stand corrected......I'm no lip reader, but it looks to me like Hout was saying "a** whipping(whooping)", so yeah, he messed up by saying that.
Does that excuse Blount for throwing a punch?  Not in my book.  I agree with BSU's coach, there was no need to say anything to Blount the game had been played and it should have been over.  If Hout wanted to say something to Blount, he shoulda been smart enough to keep his headgear on....lol.
Looks to me like both players have a lot of growing up to do........do your talking on the field with your playing, not before the game or afterwards.

lol My Daughter has always liked UT. The problem is they only have 1 semi of meteorology. At A&M she can work all the way to a PHD in meteorology. A&M is one of the top 3 universities in the country for meteorology.
