I think Aces High would gain a few memberships  by adding a P-47

personally I signed up for a pay account the week before the P-38L was released specifically because I wanted to fly an accurately modelled and pretty lightning.
I wasn't disapointed and I'm still here and flying other planes too along with my p38.

I'm sure there are hard core jug fliers waiting for their ride to come to AH too
Fester was my in game name until September 2013

Funked,

Stupid me...D27 would be fine...Just want a late model Jug with bubble canopy and 8x.50s. While the "M" would be fine, I'd just as soon see a model that was produced in the thousands and saw extensive combat. Besides, I've never been an uber-bird pilot and why start now? I'd hate to always have to defend myself and my bird on the boards...who has the time? I'm trying to lower my handicap..

Actually, I would much rather prefer a razorback  ...much much better looking  ..the Superbolt seems to lose some of it's mean look.
(And we all know that it's the look that counts, not it's actual performance)

It ain't WWII without the Jug but I guess that could be said for a few others as well.

DrYo: it was not the range that "killed" P47. It was it's cost. I can't remember the actual figure but for the same money you could have ~4 Mustangs and that makes a huge difference.

I'm pretty sure you're confusing the P-47 with the P-38, Lynx.
