OSU in the top ten NEXT WEEK? That would be ridiculously stupid. What would the basis be to move them to the top 10?

Easy
1st. Virginia Tech plays Miami.  One of them will fall behind OSU when they lose.

2nd. It's possible Cal @Oregon results in Cal outta the top 10

3rd. All 4 SEC schools are playing conference games.  As you said before...

"Alabama, Florida, LSU. What can you say? SEC schedule. It beats up teams and spits out champions."

All they have to do is move up 3 spots.

With Oregon out of the question, Cal does have a good chance. Cal has the defense for a national championship, Jahvid Best is probably the best running back in college football, just wondering if the QB can stand the pressure.....

Well, Oregon's crushing 42-3 defeat of California today obviously proves your analysis quite wrong.

I've never seen a more one sided college game before.

Next week's USC vs Cal game is now going to be super interesting.   With both teams already having one loss, neither team will be able to afford to lose another game at this point in the season.   The game will be a "must win" for both teams.
