Keep Killshooter.  You think we have eight-on-one feeding frenzies now...imagine if there were no penalty for trying to shoot over, under, and around the friendly in front of you.

I'm with you on this one, Jarbo, and not just because I'm your squadmate  ;)

Killshooter doesn't stop people from shooting over my shoulder and the accidental self-fragging that occurs is quite irritating.

Of course, I like Furious' idea, too.  Turn it off completely and make people pay through the nose for damaging or killing a friendly.

Buhdman, out

Another viable solution would be to have a killshooter damage buffer where first few pings/hits on a friendly don't do any damage, but repeated killshooter hits will enact damage on the shooter.

...oh and i agree with disabling the ability to kill friendly troops, if it still exsists

I mostly manage to avoid killshooter when it comes to air to air stuff.  So I don't mind killshooter the way it is—for air to air.

What really gets me is the killshooter effect when jaboing.  I'm divebombing a ground vehicle or structure and some friendly who wasn't anywhere near the target or heading to the target when I dropped suddenly reverses course into my target area and flies into my bomb blast, killing me in the process.

That's the bit I really hate, and it happens so often.  However killshooter is a necessity.  Just imaging what the MA would be like if it were turned off.  One thing which would be very useful would be some kind of system message which lets you know that you been 'killshootered'.  So many times I've been jabo'n acks somewhere and when i died i put it down to enemy ack, only to discover later that it was prolly a killshooter death.

I want the old PNG from AWDOS...kill two pals and you're out of ammo for 24hrs.

Killshooter is for girls.

Rude,

I liked the PNG system too, but I think HTC is firmly against anything that would limit a player's access to the game -- RPS, PNG, low octane fuel....etc.

Also, PNG has its own problems.  I still remember Subby taunting some poor schmuck who pinged her by accident, just before she deliberately augered to PNG him.    ;)

Man...Subby...that was a long time ago wasn't it?

You're right...HTC and other probs as well. Still, I think I would enjoy the PNG probs more so than the killshooter ones if you catch my meaning :)

Take it easy!
