Friendly Fire?

Is it possible to get shot down by a friendly?

I've saved the film. This morning while going HO towards a P-47 that was being chase by 4 friendlies I got shot down. But the P-47s' fire was not anywhere close to me. In fact it looks like I got hit by the fire of a friendly (Nemesis in his P-38). He's firing at the P-47 but well behind him. It looks like I fly into the stream of his bullets and my elevators get shot off. I then crash and get the message from the administrator that I have crashed but it doesn't say anyone shot me down.
Then I go to look at the scores and it says I was shot down by a "Chute."
Isn't there something called "killshooter?" I didn't think it was possible to get killed by a friendly aircraft.....

IN FSO or some special events you can be killed by friendly fire. In all AH main arenas, EW, MW, LW, Killshooter should be enabled making a friendly take damage if he shoots a countryman.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I've saved the film. .

Posting it here could help.
(If you don't know how: Upload it to a filehosting site like mediafire.com, then put the link to the file into your post)

And in special events killshooter may be off.

In the MA you cannot get shot down by a friendly. You can however shoot yourself down by shooting at a friendly.

Yes. If the P47 that you were HO to was being chased by four friends and you shot..you probably hit a friendly behind him and shot yourself down.

While you can't get shot down by a friendly plane or ground vehicle, you can get shot down by friendly field or CV acks.

most likely, you killshot yourself on one of the p47's pursuers.

i just the other night, was pulling for a beautiful deflection shot on a 109, and a friendly comes barreling in, just after i squeezed the trigger. i saw a nice burst hit hte friendly, no other cons in the area, and i took a bunch of hits...and sprung a fuel leak.

Manned guns don't deal friendly damage (ever) unless Killshooter is turned off. Automatic AA weapons will, however.

there have been a few times where I've killshot myself firing a 75 mm round at a tank only to have it ricochet and hit a friendly plane flying over head.
