If variants are easy to add...

Then how about the 109E-7 and F-2 for scenarios and FSOs.  They wouldn't require any 3d changes to add to the planeset. :airplane:

We had this issue just recently in FSO in an Eastern front design where the 109E-4 was subbing for the E-7, and the F-4 was mostly subbing for the F-2.

Instead of wishing why don't you follow the previous example. Get reliable performance data, have a skin made and give HTC a call.

I would be very surprised if HTC didn't already have data on those aircraft.  These two aircraft are not obscure, small production variants.

Agreed and a Spitfire Mk XII would be nice . :D

That would require a 3d model change.  But I'm all for a Mk II and a LF Mk V with clipped wings.  The Mk V should also have a 120rpg option.

How about the spitfire F.R or what ever it was called. it had a bubble canapy like the P-51D.

E-7 has a couple of subtle shape differences here and there, most notably the pointed spinner.

That's probably the closest parallel you'll find to the current P-47 situation. They just took the P-47N flight model, removed extra gas, removed a little weight, and put rounded wingtip 3D models on it.

No tweaking of anything 3D, and very little tweaking of anything flight-model (heck, the wing tanks still show up on the damage screen!)

Finding something else like that where the variant is different enough to warrant adding to the game will be very hard.


That said, I'm all for the E-7 or E-7/z!!!!

If people keep this stuff up then whats next? the Me 309. Which is impossable!!! The thing never went passed prototype stage. After the German Air Ministry found that the 109 was more manueverable the the Airframe that was suppose to replace it.

Every plane mentioned in this thread saw thousands of sorties, hardly prototype or drawing board material.

Yeah but people are stupid enough to ask for the F-86 or F-22 so i thought maybe i should throw myself on stupidity list since it seems very popular. lol

25J would be a little more complicated, as you'd essentially need the nose of the 25C with the rest of the 25H. That said, I'd love to have a J gunship with 14 forward .50cal. :O
