Not sure if I remember correct but wasn't there a "Greif" also in french colors after the war?
Or maybe that was Polish... or both

I sure wish we had those instead of the infamous HogC. I trully like the suez markings, yellow looks good with the dark blue. In dogfight it would be nice, easy to recon thus to manoeuver accordingly. (yes, I don't dogfight F4Ds like F4Cs ,,, do u?)

So what are those? F4-7s? What are the differences with the F4Cs?

F4U-7's, yep. The French Navy had 94 of them made. It was based on the slightly longer fuselage of the AU-1(F4U-6), but with the same engine as the F4U-4.

In fact the SNCAC NC 900 (190A5 for you LW fan

) was so badly build (worker where having motivation trouble

) that even after the war the french where unable to use it !
