She can event wear French color ...(well afte r the war ...)

Speaking of french colors ...

Not sure if I remember correct but wasn't there a "Greif" also in french colors after the war?
Or maybe that was Polish... or both  :)

I sure wish we had those instead of the infamous HogC. I trully like the suez markings, yellow looks good with the dark blue. In dogfight it would be nice, easy to recon thus to manoeuver accordingly. (yes, I don't dogfight F4Ds like F4Cs ,,, do u?)

   

   

So what are those? F4-7s? What are the differences with the F4Cs?

F4U-7's, yep. The French Navy had 94 of them made. It was based on the slightly longer fuselage of the AU-1(F4U-6), but with the same engine as the F4U-4.

The He-274 was used as a kind of Mistel, several French high speed aircraft were mounted on its back so as to test their aerodynamic characteristics.

In fact the SNCAC NC 900 (190A5 for you LW fan  ;)) was so badly build (worker where having motivation trouble  ;)) that even after the war the french where unable to use it !
