Did the A-5 have any of these on board?

Yes it had MW50 like the A4, only difference between A4 and A5 is that the engine was moved about 15 cm forward.

:-))

But the A-4 didn't use the MW-50.

Hiya Hristo...long time no see !!!

  Still remember me ??

Just thought I'd post some info on the A-series without cowl MGs...
Stuff that Wulfmen posted about the production aircraft and then some evidence on
what was done in the field conditions...

It's pretty funny coincidence...I have nice profile drawing of Staffelkapitän
Otto Kittel's A-5 stationed in Courtland (Latvia) Eastern Front, spring, 1944.
And it clearly shows outer wingcannons AND cowl MGs removed.

Also have profile drawing and photograph of Major Erich Rudorffer's A-6
(II/JG54, end of July 1944, Immola, Finland). The profile's introtext states that
that A-6 was one of Rudorffer's specially configured machines. It had among other things
(bombrack and IFF) its cowl MG's deleted. Photo of this plane show's it too if one
  looks close enough.

So removal of the cowl MGs was done in the field too...how much it was done??
I think nobody knows surtain figures as these kinda things are pretty impossible to
research afterwards, but I bet it was done much more than most people think...

I lost your ICQ-contact and can't find it with ICQ's search engine.
Could you E-mail it to me sometimes...would be nice to catch up !!

P.S This is my first posting on internet messageboard I hope it displays ok...

Hi Joonas !

Wmaker, the most dangerous 109 pilot I have met (Aper is very close though).

Thanks for your info. Seems that there were 190A planes with cowl MGs removed afterall.

Maybe not that often, but there surely were pilots who prefered to fly without cowl MGs.

Now, HTC, could you model this with our 190s ?

If it could be done with real 190s, please allow this on our simulated ones. Please, please, please !

Joonas, mail is on the way

I'd like to have option to get rid of cowl MGs and get couple other neat stuff that is forgotten in AH, but I guess that HTC won't do such things as it seems they don't like LW, but allies too much.

Summary.
Ability to remove Cowl MGs and the weight that they add, Ability to fire 30s independently of the inboard cannons.
New art for interior would be nice too.

Fishu, if there is such a conspiracy, why does the Fw190 have the biggest possible set of options of ANY aircaft in the game when it comes to guns?

Gun there or here when those are barely enought to tickle a tank what comes to ground pounding those off.
Why so many options?  I would ask, why only those options, when 190 has many options.. (note that Fw190 were more modified than P-51, not to talk about versions)

Besides, for me, that 30mm option is useless because of different trajectory with more accurate 20mm guns.. (if I like 4 cannons, I like it as 20mm if I can't fire 30mm's separately)

OK, Funked, now speak up !

How much did MG 131 + ammo weigh ?
How much for MG 17 + ammo ?

Even though it is poorly documented, it was a valid option for 190. So why doesn't HTC go ahead and model this ? We don't need Rudorffer or Krupinski to tell them to do it, right ?

190 could surely use separate triggers too, IMO.

And yes, new cockpit art would be welcome indeed.
