Opinion On Squeekers
« on: October 22, 2009, 04:13:50 PM »
Yall all know me from aces high i am a major squeeker. I am posting on the behave of all the other squeeker's i am sick and tired of all the old fellers in the game who make fun of squeekers. We are the future of aces high you need to be more respectful all your comments and critisism are NOT welcome to most of us squeekers. We are open to constrctive Critisism we are more than happy to hear you give us advise but we do NOT like being called names or made fun of due to pitch of our voice. We only want to fit in with the old dogs on the game (no offense attended) we only want to be accepted and who knows most of us squeekers can kill some of the most seasoned veterans! stop teh critism

(i know i cant spell dont comment on that either)

Being a squeaker is more than the high pitched whine of a voice on vox.  It is usually accompanied by an immature attitude. :aok

Squeeker is more how you conduct yourself, than how you sound (to me anyway).  Many "old dogs" can be classified as squeekers by the tone of their communications, if not by the pitch of their voice.

You - and I DO mean YOU - tend to be riding the teeter-totter of squeekdom.  Most of the time you conduct yourself better than some, but there are times my finger is millimeters away from the squelch button.

It's true that many "adults" show little respect for a high, young voice.  That's a shame, for the reasons I've already stated.

So, shut it and ignore the 'tards...life's too short to worry about people who's only purpose in life seems to be to pollute the gene pool.

Complaining about being called a squeaker is one of the requirements for being a squeaker.... I'm just saying.

You're right.  Adults picking on children is wrong.

Making fun of them on squad channel is hilarious.

lilsquid are you the Al sharpton of the squeeker community? are you attempting to reach social justice in a video game?  :headscratch: Good luck. the antagonizing of squeekers has been going on for years its nothing personal towords any one squeeker in particular its the fingernails on the chalkboard sound of some kid skreetching on the radio thats being shot out of the virtual skies that gets on us "old dogs"  :old:  nerves. Its all about radio discipline and conduct. It has nothing to do with age. At least not to me.

I think the squeakers need to understand that the average age of a pilot in AcesHigh is somewhere around 40yrs old "ish".

This isn't World of Warcraft where the squeakers are the rule/norm.  Quite the opposite actually; they are the exception.  No, squeakers are not the "future", as they are not the demographic that AH caters to.

I can think of two things a squeaker can do to make me happy.

1) Type more on range as opposed to talk.  All I have to hear is that high pitched squeak and I squelch 'em.  For no other reason that to give my ears a break.

2) When they do type on country/range, type less inane drivel.  If you want to just type stupid worthless junk find a squad of like minded squeaks and y'all do all the typing/talking you want.  On SQUAD channel.

I really think its a shame that young pilots are called squeakers at all, even if they have a high pitch of voice. But I must admit that I have also squelched some of you guys because of just that high pitch in voice. That combined with some eagerness during a fight makes the pitch even slightly worse in alot of cases. I myself usually wear a headset while flying because I don't want to disturbe other familymembers while playing. And then I just have to squelch sometimes, if I have to turn volume down I wont hear the older guys talking  :old: or my own plane sounds.  :airplane: So that makes me have to choose one or the other, or loose my hearing..  :uhoh

BUT, I have one suggestion to a solution on how to solve this problem however.. Or atleast make it a little better.
And this one goes to the htc crew.. Wouldn't it be possible to make another post in the roster name-rightclick menu, to add the possibility to a separate volumecontrol to each players vox?! Then I would be able to turn down the squeaker voice slightly to a comfortable volume.  :aok

Because I really don't want to squelch a guy that might save my hiny with useful check6's or other useful info on what's going on around me..

Just a tip, if it is at all possible to make separate players-vox-volumecontrols?!   :headscratch:

Squeakdom is all attitude.  I can tolerate the earsbleeding tone if it's relaying important info.  What sets me off is the nonstop play-by-play that most squeakers feel that we need to here. "I beginning my attack run I need cover. COMEON GUYS SOMEONE ESCORT ME! I SEE AN ENEMY FIGHTER!! HELP11!!1 ENEMY FIGHTER11!!!1! I'M ON FIRE!! I'M GOING DOWN111!!11!!
That is what I don't want. This would be good (while still making my ears bleed) "Check 6. 109 on your tail, low 5 o'clock 800 yards." :old:
