It's an unfinished game bubi.  I agree that it needs some more work.

If Oleg can render the terrain realistic enough, this ol' cat will be very happy to pay to be able to fly over Tangmere and Duxford again. Even in a Hurricane powered by a Merlin with asthma.

Do you have any data or evidence to back up this hyperbolic claim?

I'm sure there's lots of good data for the Me-163 and that's why we have it in AH. ;)
Of course, he added things to the game that never existed beyond preliminary sketches.

How you can compare that to the Me163 I don't know, though I do agree with you about the probable lack of data for that and subsequent issues with the validity of the AH Me163 flight model.

How is that relevant to the FM of the aircraft that did see service?

The addition of 1946 what-if models has no bearing on the validity of other flight models.

It certainly makes me question their thought process when they toss in those never-got-built uberrides and about a million 109 variants, (one of which, once again, never advanced much beyond concept or prototype stage) and refuse to add the F4U-4 because there were "Too many Corsairs already."
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Maybe he doesn't like the F4U or disliked the company that holds the licensing rights (Boeing)?

How does that in any way invalidate the FM of the modelled aircraft?

No, their thought process was very clear: sell copies of 1946.

Not even the AAA modders have added the F4U-4, so far as I know, but they did give us more 109s to play with. :devil

Very pretty.

Hope they put just as much effort into the flight model.

I already find the flight model of Il-2 to be very good.  When I move back to AH, all the planes feel the same. ;)

I found the inverse to be the case.

IL2 simply feels, to me, like you have a choice of when you wish to enter a violent stall.  Earlier in a 190.  Later in a 109.

I do adore the gunnery, though.

Very true, the idea of flying jets had me hooked, as I could not find a single Korean War sim in this little city.

I remember seeing a thread about the F4U-4 on the boards, was with the F4U-5N, though it required replacement of the F4U-1C in-game.
