Man, the smoke detectors in our bathrooms don't even work. Do the math.

Our security guards are paranoid. We aren't allowed out of our classrooms unless we have our ID cards, we aren't allowed to be on school grounds during teacher meetings on Wednesdays, and if we are there after 6 PM, they interrogate you. Of course, the administrators created these rules. The kids at our school are very good at hiding their drugs. They brought in a dog, and found next to nothing. The Junior year is the year of the potheads, sophomores are the easy gals, and 2/3s of the freshmen smoke. No one knows much about the seniors though.

It was always funny (for me anyways  :) ) when they brought the drug dogs in. One time, they didn't even announce to the teachers they were bringing them in because some homeroom teachers tell their students during homeroom time. We were just sitting there and over the PA we hear "All students are to remain in the current classes until further notice. There are drug dogs in the hallways, so until further notice, all students are to remain in the classes they are in now." Right after about more than half the students in the class I was in looked shocked and kinda slid down in their chairs.  :lol The next half hour we heard dogs barking almost every 10 seconds. Right after we could go to our next class you can see a lot of students running to their lockers to see if they had a tie on their locker (indicating the dogs sensed something inside). Busted a lot of them that day.

Lol, same thing happened at my school, only they would have lost 90% of the students to they gave a warning 30mins in advanced even though they weren't suppost to. We had to share lockers and there were ties on 3/4  of the lockers in my section with 5 standing open indicating drugs were found in the lockers.

Ive got a story for you guys. At the Edinbourough Airshow in Adelaide a Mirage (way back when) did a high speed flypast and accidently broke the sound barrier. That area unfortunately was full of tomato growers.... so the result was....shattering.

A problem arose though, with the glass gone the plants were scruitinised and discovered to be Weed interwoven with the Tomato crops. but the law had no way to prove it, but Weed needs hydroponic heat so you know what they did?

They called up the marine Squadron at Edinbourough and their Orions did "training" excercises over the fields.... doing infared runs  :devil

The result was combined with Air Defence Guards and MPs AND the local cops taking the whole lot in. something like several million $ worth. :D

Drug dogs? WTF?!? When does MY school get drug dogs?!? We could really use it... funny thing is, it's the teachers our state is watching. They tried to impliment random drug testing on teachers, and a strike was threatened as a response! lol. Perhaps someone is hiding something?

Hell, even my school gets drug-dogged without warning. Our town is apparently the meth shipping capital of the West coast with plenty of manufacturing going on too, but it generally isn't the kids. Even then, they're not dumb enough to bring it to school when someone "on the other side of the city" is a ten minute drive away.

my school is run by nazis now... they were suspending people for not taking a test. it is the same exact test that we have taken every 9 school weeks for the last 3 years and they wonder why nobody takes it seriously...

as for drug dogs, now that i think about it, i havent seen any here but the middle school for some reason they get them like twice a year.

School districts are trying to stop addictions early. Ours primarily focuses on MS as well. I'm supposing a lack of funding may be the reason for your high school getting off easily.

I love PSSA's and 4 Sights, you get to get out of class to take an easy test.

It's weird going to school with armed Police when you stop and think about it, however there's definitely reason for them to be there... you get used to it anyway.
Periodic drug checks are fun too, there's always a couple of people in the class room that are scared as hell.
