Change to Kill stealing protection
« on: November 02, 2009, 04:21:48 PM »
I wish that turreting, tracking and killing the engine of a vehicle would credit you with the kill when the vehicle is killed.  Too many times I'll take a tank out of the fight and leave him alone because he is useless at that point only to get an assist on him when he dies.  If I were to take out the guns and engine of a plane im sure I would get the kill if it were taken out by someone else.

Its just annoying that everyone avoids the wirbs and osties until I take out their gun...then someone else swoops in and gets the kill.

I like that it has stopped planes from throwing a bunch of 20mm into a tank and getting the kill credit without doing any damage, but when your actually killing critical parts on the tank and take it out of the fight I believe you should get the credit.

Anything that is still dangerous should not have a kill locked on it.  An engineless plane or tank is still capable of killing.

not without its guns, just giving an example, if you take a plane out of the fight you get the kill for it even when someone else finishes it off.

It still can resupplied without re-upping so it would be still considered dangerous  :airplane:

I find it annoying when someone turrets a WW or tracks a tank then moves on to the next target assuming theyre gonna get the kill......... if you take out his engine or his turret....... finish him off...... then you wont have to worry about someone else stealing the kill

If its resupplied I wouldnt mind if the memory of my damage to it is wiped.  Its fun tracking tigers and killing the m3/jeep train trying to get to them.

I personally dont move on unless I have turreted them and then hit their engine or a track.

Once you find the sweet spots on tanks, you will be able to kill them. Don't get discouraged they will proboaly up again and you can kill them again.

With 382 vehicle kills this month I have no problem killing tanks, I just feel that doing critical damage to a vehicle should have more weight in deciding who gets the kill.  If I only kill an engine or track a tank I wouldnt have a problem if I got an assist when it is killed, because its still functioning.

If you want kill so badly, be sure to finish him. Otherwise dont complain.

The only problem with kill awarding what need to be fixed, is getting kills by strafing armors with 7/12/20mm guns (if it didnt fixed yet).

It was overfixed, which is the complaint here.

You can take out a planes engine, and it can still make a safe landing,so it's not actually dead, just out of the fight.
