I consider myself one of the best ho'ers in the game. u come streight at me I will not turn and will open fire unless your in mossie or something similar.

And you have an even easier time if they fly slightly off head on course from you on the merge (then you get to call your HO a "FQ snapshot"), or if they fly so drastically off of directly towards you on the merge as to make HOing impossible, by which you gain a bite of angles right off the bat....that is the reality of HOing. If both people are willing to HO, then the whole game becomes a matter of one plane being destroyed and one plane being crippled on the merge. If one person is willing to HO and the other is not, then the person avoiding the HO takes the choice of flying the merge in such a way that there is a very real chance of being hit, or giving up alot of advantage. Only because willing to forgo HOing most of the time does fun and art exist in this game.
But I do agree there is no in-game technical solution to this paradox, and it would be folly to try to find one.
