Any attempt to bypass is not acceptable, including the ones you posted. The rules are perfectly fair. They apply to all.  The filter did not trip him up, the common judgment of people in the arena tripped him up. It is impossible to write a filter to catch all, so we have back up systems such as moderators and the report feature.

99% of the time someone comes here and post something like this, they are posting only the final statement that broke the camels back.
......
Skuzzy walks in my office after I typed above, and also was reading this but we had no knowledge of each other reading.
Skuzzy looked at the logs and muted him. And as I said about 99% of the time, I was correct.

Since you asked it was not what you state why you were muted, but many other incidences that showed up in the logs.
HiTech

Mr. Hitech, just a little observation I made the other day:  The "s" word that usually is a substitute for feces or poop gets through the filter.  I let it slip  :o and never received any message like "Continued use of profanity..."  After I read it I waited for a mute message but never got it.

A japanese squaddie of mine wondered what this PM was about, i reassured him it was a compliment on his technique lol.

However it just shows you can make your point without using profanities

Yep I remember that vaguely, I think he dropped down from his perch and ho'd me in a niki.(Your squad's good at picking with alt) He probably swore at me in Japanese because I had no clue what he was saying, I also said the same thing on 200.

Did he send you any of his pm's back to me?

Last time I'll write on this, especially since HT answered my concerns.

It's not IF you get caught. It's WHEN - before somebody who's a much worse offender or afterwards?

And no, not everybody is caught because not all of it is used in a context which offends people (i.e., squad chats for example, among friends who don't care). FWIW, I feel much better with HT's post and explanation - I mostly trust the reporting system when it's filtered through their judgement.

They all get caught eventually.

This isn't a complaint really, I just find it amusing. A while back, I was chasing a Niki in Brew.  I made a comment on 200 "Come back Niki, this Brewster will not catch you". VonMessa suggested on 200 I type /.<Something Not Terriblely Bad>  .  In a purely joking manner I typed "/.<Something Not Terriblely Bad> .  Boom muted for 30min.  Ok I broke the rules and was muted, no big deal. This is where I was amused.  VonMessa who typed the exact same thing only got 20min of mute time.

I would think that if there shall be mods, shouldn't they be impartial?

Its all about showing a little bit of respect and consideration to those that you share the arena with.

We all have more than enough frustration and anger in our lives. So keep yours on your side of the monitor please.

None of us get enough respect, courtesy or consideration so please feel free to share all you can. Trust me, in time it will come back to you 10 fold.

I know I got muted for say F!$% that and some others got muted for saying F that, so I ask how is that offensive? Surely it's not going to offend a young child because it's not even a word, it leaves it to the imagination it would be anything Freak that, Fudge that, etc.

Do you really believe the first thing people will think is Freak that, Fudge that, etc.?

Please.

Even kids know what the F word is.

Na Stodd, I don't think I've ever reported anyone at all. I will normally just detune 200 or squelch ya if it's over the top.

I also won't come here and start a thread whine when I get caught circumventing the filter!

But is saying thing such as F that or Fug or Frik bypassing? BTW I'm not appreciating everyone jumping and insulting me in here.

Why do you feel the need to even imply that word?  Quite frankly, most don't want to hear it nor read it.  As HiTech mentioned, it was a culmination of your log files. And yes, it is bypassing.
