Need some help with a school project about OIF

In my 12th grade english class i have to write a report and debate why it is good and bad that we went into Iraq. I'd appreciate it if you guys could post some reasons you believe about this topic.


This is a real question, My assignment is to get information about why its good we went in and not.

I agree. Since war and politics goes hand in hand this thread is doomed. Simply put in some reading time and develope your own opinions. Write them down. Now go back and read them with the eye of someone who might disagree. Decide why they might disagree and why. Write that down too.

Now take all that and put in the order your teacher requires and use that as your project.

Ehh, wasn't sure what the intention of the thread originally was.  Now I see it was an actual request, and redact that statement.  Either way, good luck with your project.  I'd strongly encourage you to make it yours.

From what I can tell, he is just asking for opinions.  It is a report (which he can and should research on his own), but also a debate.  I believe what he is asking for is opposing opinions because it seems that he has to show pro AND con reasons.

Unfortunately Selino, you won't get much more than a pissing contest which will ultimately become a locked thread.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure to TRIPLE CHECK your facts from MULTIPLE SOURCES! There is so much false information on the internet, you wouldn't believe.

Hell I would have asked the teacher for another topic and if I couldn't get one, I think it would be worth taking a 0.  That topic is such a hot button to cause angry feelings.
