Looks like Kauai, Hawaii.

(Image removed from quote.)

Wow, that is cruel.  Two small farm towns with what appears to be a railroad running through both, and a single airstrip.  A creek runs north of one of them, which apparently has a point of interest in it.  (flag?)  Are there any major landmarks others see here that I'm missing?

The farmland (what I usually use to recognize shots like this) is too neatly sectioned off into squares to be just about anywhere in Europe except Netherlands, but a lack of canals (plus too many lighter hues + large plot sizes) makes me lean away from a dutch area.  I'm guessing this is US or Canada.  If I had to pin it to a region, I'd say upper Midwest -- Iowa or southern Minnesota area.  I could be way off.  Anyone know where Rondar is from?  :)

Obviously a well watered region but lacking the small ponds that dot the landscape of the Eastern Dakotas and Western Minnesota. I am leaning towards somewhere in either Iowa or Kansas...not sure why just have that feeling.

Its in the United States.  In fact I live 5 miles south of the bigger town, my house is not visible in the pic.

As an afterthought, the region where I live there is no landmarks, trees, hills, mountains or major cities.  Gotta drive well over an hour just to get a McSandwich or a WallyWorld business.
