B-25H: Best damn de-acker in the game.

I would agree, I have deacked entire fields without ever getting the ack to fire.

If your in a fighter rockets are awesome for vulching and de-acking.

Incorporate the Acks up in your straffing runs , that way you kill an Ack and a few buildings on your first pass, stay on the deck as low as you can fly, the Ack cant drop that low then circle back around line up the other Ack and more buildings for the second pass, once the Acks town blaze away on the buildings  :aok

Edit... Nemisis PM me your email ill send you a great sight i use on all my planes its great for Rockets sense it has this >   /\   incorperated on the site with marks for yards also, i just renamed it Default, that way its on every plane i fly, also has deflection grid to for gunfights
can u send me the gunsight aswell?

Nemisis its sent, ill just post it here, just right click , save as folder HiTech Creations click, sights save in there, now i have it named as default, if you don't want it as default then rename it, make sure you click Bmp  not Jpg

Edit..  i have my Zoom preset to where i click it and the sight is the right size as to the rockets path will follow the angled lines perfectly

how do you mean that zoom? Are you saying you have your zoom set to the correct level to have the rockets trajectory follow the angled lines.

yes i set a button that hits the right zoom view and the rockets follow that path in the sight, takes a few adjustments but once its spot on, then your rockets are alot more accurate

You can also try using the German planes that carry the air-to-air rockets (WrGr-2 I think). They are "flak packs" just like the puffy stuff. You can use those to de-ack. Just fire the rockets at about 1.5k out and they pop shrapnel out and kill the ack. So, in reality, you just need to get them close to the AA gun position to kill it.
A squaddie and I took the bf110-g2 with the regular cannon load-out (the one with the 20mm and 30mm cannons and no bombs), and strapped on the 4 WrGr rockets. We de-acked the field with the rockets and pretty much gunned down the rest of the town except for a couple of buildings. So what I'm trying to say in my ramblings is try the 110 or one of the 190's that carry the WrGr rockets for de-acking and strafing, you might have better results. For aiming most rockets, use the bottom of the sight pipper for your rocket placement. Judging the range takes a little practice. The "bottom" of the sight pipper I am referring to in the picture a few posts up, would be the spot where the tiny hash marks (range ticks that go from top to bottom) meet the circular edge of the bottom of the sight. I personally have very good hit % when I use that spot for my rocket sighting at long or typical firing range. I'm sure someone else may disagree, but, that what works for me.

Good luck.  :salute

Learn to use rockets effectively  :aok
ditto: you can wipe out 4 or 5 acks with one pass using rockets.

Can anyone recomend a good strafer that still can carry a couple of 1000lb'ers. Even 500lb bombs will do.

I can see the P-47, but the P-51 is the one I'm having problems destroying ack with. I suspect the problem lies with the machine guns.

I was asking more for a cannon armed plane.

110, will just about drop anything i think it carries 1 500lber and some smaller 50's? i think, but its cannons work great for deacking and hanger popping, where are you setting your convergence? If i know im going on a deacking run,or take a town down ill set my convergence out more than i would if im going just as a fighter

Depends on the plane, but all planes with nose armament of 20mm or below I max out convergance on it.

For 30mm and 37mm I set convergance to minumum so I don't have any verticle bias when shooting at steep angles.

For 6 .50's or more, I set it at D550 And for 4 .50's I set it at D475

For planes with wing mounted cannons it depends on how close there mounted. If one is close I max it out, and set the other pair to D575.

If their both fairly far out, I set them at D450.
