I was more curious if it's an actual skin of Erich Hartmann's.

More pictures to come, I have to put the Spekturm in it and a couple of batteries before I fly it, hopefully in two weeks lol. The guy did a magnificent job on it I must say.

Yeah it is, or at least close.  He was transfered out of JG52 into I./JG53 as Gruppen leader for a time.  He flew that plane and there are a couple pictures of him in it.

Well, I flew the airplane, and the video dosn't show the flight, but it looked really pretty in the air. The airplane was not all that fast, but we found out that the throw on the servo arm, was only going 75% to full so, we hopefull will get more out of it.

Most of it is explained in the video, if you have any questions, just ask me :)

It flew!

Sol, is that a dent in your F-18 just below the canopy?

When I first saw the pic he took, I was wondering the same thing, if the stresses were causing it to dent in (this pass was at a good 220mph).  So we took the plane and he took several more photos, and it appears it is just a shadow or some camera bug of some sort... the "dent" never showed up in any other photos.
