I figure Tiger ought to make up something plausible yet simple, and go with that.  He can lie to the media all he wants.

I agree with him supporting his wife even though she may have hit him with a seven iron. The papparazzi from Enquirer posted the infidelity story without anything other than a handshake between him and a fan (who happens to be Rachel Uchitel)? Uchitel may be on the seedy side but I dont believe Tiger is for an instant. He may have shown poor judgement in leaving the house in 'distress' but can you really say that fact is established? I think he wants to protect his wife and family and keep his career intact and he knows the media loves to tear down the rich and famous. I dont believe Tiger would even touch Uchitel but I can believe his wife may have recently been bombarded with insane accusations against her husband in the tabloids.

the most logical explanation is of course also the simplest......... they were in a heated argument....... he was removing himself from the situation and hopped in his suv to take a drive........

she chased him with a golf club and smashed out the windows as he was pulling away....... being distracted he hit the fire hydrant and then a tree

the thing that leads me to this guess is WHY would she need to smash out the rear door windows to rescue him........ I believe one photo shows the driver door open so it was operable....... and even if it wasnt the other 3 were also inoperable? its a 4 door vehicle you dont need to smash out a window to "rescue" him

as to his BAC......... dunno if he got a pass by the cops or not

as far as him cancelling on making a statement to the police........ hes not obligated to give them a statement anyway.....

my guess on the statement issue his lawyer has given him so good advice....... he clearly doesnt want to tell the truth and let the whole world know his wife was chasing him with a golf club....... the police statement can easily be obtained by the press and tabloids would have a field day.......

he also doesnt want to make a FALSE statement to cover it up..... that would be a crime....... so hes alot better off just not making any official statement at all

If his car is anything like mine, the doors automatically lock as soon as the car starts moving and they don't unlock until the car is in park.  So if he ran into some stuff and the car ended up still in drive but not moving because it was up against the tree, the only way someone on the outside could get into the car would be to smash a window.

His wife chased him with a golf club, simple as that.

These type of locks are designed to unlock if the vehicle is in an accident.....

The airbags did not deploy so I don't think the doors would have unlocked.

I agree with Batch's scenario.  She did not break the rear/back window.  She broke out the rear passenger window in order to unlock the doors.  She pulled him out of the driver's door.

The question that remains is.....How can she explain why BOTH rear passenger windows were shattered?

Fifteen minutes of fame will cause even more women to come out with 'Tiger undies' I bet.

Neighbors are saying the wife asked them to call 911 but one neighbor has 'lawyered up?'

It takes alot for airbags to deploy. I'm sure there is a more "sensitive" computer that detects a crash to unlock the doors than "if the airbags go off, unlock the doors."
