It's kind of sad in a way that missions seem primairily associated to base taking.
The Pigs have found full squad fighter sweeps work with fantastic results destabalising hoard momentum. I watch the bish and rook night after night send waves of fighters to a base while waves of bomber boxes fly over taking out everything on the targeted base. I never see knight missions with the goal of getting 20+ fighters above 15k between the feild under attack and the incoming hoards. But I watch 20 to 30 knights flying around the base in the bushes being slaughtered and reupping to be killed again. The whining about the bish rook hoarding gets to me the most when they have so many tools at their disposal to defeat them.
Two or three fighter sweep missions back to back will kill an assault hoard. By the second or third, even with the first 20 plane sweep you will be vulching uppers over the enemy feild. Last night the Pigs ran a sweep which resulted in the knights who were defending from bush level moving to vulching at the enemy feild who 10 minutes earlier had them all scurrying in the grass being picked.
*Note: I have seen sporadic fighter sweep missions over the years. But, they usually give up alt as a group to pig out on the first low cons they see thus eliminating themselves strategicly. The goal is to stay on station at 20k+ to force the enemy down and denigh him the SAFE PICK. Now days when the Pigs do hoard busting fighter sweeps, our rule is get on station and not give up the high gound. It's only a phsychological advantage to see us up there, but that seems to be enough for the low flying knights.
