I have a daughter who on occassions will start playing when I'm away from the keyboard.  And yes she will shoot at friendlies.  Fortunate for those in Aces High she can't fly worth a damn.  There is one big difference between her and some adults though.  She knows its just a game.  So far my reputation as low as it might be has survived.  Unfortunately the continuous non stop talking can not be squelched at the source.

Personally,it's not the pitch of voice that's irritating. It's the non-stop chatter from one,or between a couple of them,not realizing that there are other players in the area.We don't need updates every 5 seconds about what you doing.Then, Right in the middle of a fight someone wants to know how to drop bombs,or something that should be learned in the TA or offline. Learn tactics off line,and learn radio etiquette.

There is no way HT will ever stop the bashing on vox or text.Unless he gets rid of both.

No I wouldn't. That being said...  if my son was being a pain in the arse to every adult within earshot he'd get a talking to. That is just me though, some people don't mind there kid's throwing a tantrum in the middle of a mall.

I don't think squeekers get as much grief over their voices as they do transmitting non-stop and N00bishness.  Last night a knight let his kid play on his account--much to the dismay of knights who had to put up with it.  He transmitted (squeek--squeek---squeek) nonstop, shot at friendlies, and seem to have no concept of the game.  It would be far better if AH parent players monitored the gameplay of their kids.

Get ready---the Holiday Squeeker Season in underway until the week after new years.

No one should have to go through the trouble of squelching regardless of the age of the offender...it just so happens that some people haven't taught their kids any better than to be an annoyance to others in any manner. You don't want your kids offended, discipline them so other people don't have to.


On the other hand...many of the so called adults in the arenas are more annoying than any 5 year old imaginable. Try setting a positive example for the squeekers...shining your cyber testicles in a video game with a couple of hundred other people is not a positive example.

I get a kick out of seeing chatter from "squeakers" like the first one. We should all be so lucky as to get that immersed in this game.
The second one is just plain make me chuckle.
And as for the third style, I would rather see silly questions as opposed to most of the "normal" smack talk, bashing, and rants that happen just as much. And the solution for those is the same as the other, a simple squelch is far more effective than making an arse out of ones self.
