Change bomber formations?

If the ability to change the formation that bomber drones fly in is already available...I would appreciate the info.

Right now bombers with drones fly around in tight little triangle formations, it would be nice if we could change that formation with dot commands...increase the distance between planes...formation configurations...even put a drone in the lead.

Also, how hard would it be to make it possible to set a bomb detonation delay...like no more than 5 seconds?

Yes but that doesn't change the formation...I'm talking about telling the drones to line up abreast...echelon left...echelon right...staggered alt...etc...

For three years now I have had no difficulty in picturing everyone on the team failing to climb to stop the bombers so why not picture single file bombers? Against a turning CV a change in formation types might even make it easier to hit the boat.

Even with this change there is a good chance that the boat will not be there when the bombers arrive once you realize the endless conga line of strafing noobs in every conceivable plane they can get their hands on has been trying to kill the boat the entire time the bomber is climbing.

I have come to realize the guys that whine about people dropping hangars and killing fights are just another form of 'tards' (I would say whiners) as you put it.

I can tell you fail to see the good point in a single file line of bombers...the pile-it is in the front plane and wouldn't be able to jump to the tail gun of the trailing plane in time to stop you from killing it...and you wouldn't have 6 tail guns firing at you at the same time.

Actually, for bombing large targets like the new strats I'd love to be able to set formation to Echelon left, or right.

They already switch to a "line astern" for landing.

Good request. The fighter dweebs know what bomber you are in and instantly target you so, with the ability to change the formations you could put a drone in front of formation and you last ect. Just to make it interesting why not add a 4th drone?  :cool:

The best way to implement the formation changes is not in type of formation but in altitude of drones.  Make one go low and the other high.
