No, the 21 was the last mark to see action in WW2. It entered production in Sept 44 and entered squadron service in Jan 45.

MX22, there is a rule that the RAF planeset must be 2 years behind the Axis planeset.  E.G.  Fw 190A-8 and Me 109G-10 (1944) vs. Spit. Mk. IX (1942).

So if we get Spit. XIV (early 1944) the bad guys would get an early 1946 plane like the Ta-183 (MiG-15 Prototype).

And if we had the Spit. XXI, we'd have to give the Luftwaffles an F-104 or something.

Now I think we could deal with the MiG-15, but that F-104 would be a pain in the ass!

True,

It will be a major pain to deal with a Mach2+ capable fighter. But looking at all these LW whiners, I think that maybe if I will whine a bit too, I'll get my Spit XXI

Have nothing against Me262 in the game, it had it's glory days in WW2 and thus belongs to AH. But hey, from your other thread about Yak9, it's about the time for you to scream that 262 will be an uber ride Seems like you'd like to get your hands on hot LW plane, but prefer when others fly less capable planes...

Don't take it so personal,

I may not be right, but your posts on Yak9U say that you against this plane entering AH arena. Now you demanded Me262 which in many people's eyes will be more of an uber plane, then Yak. Things come around I guess
In any case, my point of view on all this late war planes is, yes we should have them. If it took part in WW2, it belongs here. Did Yak9U fought against Germans on Eastern front? Yes it did, so it belongs in AH. Did Me262 killed Allied planes? Yes it did and thus too belongs in AH. Did Spit XXI killed German planes? If it did it, then I have my right to demand for this plane to be modeled in AH.

peace,

hehe Funked,

Especially when you'd have to roll inverted to eject!

mx22, I don't take it personal at all.

I am not sure, however, how I can show that I am making a facetious comment meant to be a joke by any other means than using a smiley.

Well,, I could amend "this is a joke. A JOKE. I am not serious here. I don't take it personally. It's a joke, you know, a thing said to be amusing. It might not be amusing, but hey, that's how my jokes usually come off."

Check the yak thread again. You'll find that I've apologized for my part.

This time my friend you were a little quick on the trigger.

For the rest, I sort of agree and not agree with you. While the 262 would be nice, it would be too much of an Über plane in my opinion. Maybe we're better off keeping jets out of Ah. Still, I'll cry out for one any day ;D.

The rest of the planes - if they saw actual air to air combat vs other enemy planes, and where produced in a reasonable number (say more than 250 or so, Ii really don't know what a reasonable number is), include them.

Jets would be fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1944 Me 262 vs. Prop. Allied

or

1945 Me 262 and He 162 vs. Meteor

Meteor pilots would be using the eject handle a lot.

Duma, I'm a little embarrased by that score.

Most of those deaths are from ground vehicles and ack.  I could tell you the air-to-air score, but I'd have to kill you.
