You?? You are one of the ones that almost killed it.

Tell me how.  I really would like to hear you're story.  If you even have one.

Oh, and last night was my first night on in a week or so, sorry.  :(

Well, according to shuffle truffle you're types need to be weeded out and replaced with higher caliber players like shuffles and gavagai.

So I wouldn't bother showing up.  ;)

I think ya'll should not be stirring this pot...... it is starting to stink!

Zoney, everyone is welcome in the AvsA........ read the MOTD and fight your fight.......

a friendly tip......don't believe 90% of the chitchat you see posted in this General forum......  :aok  :old:
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

lol Fail to name calling..... typical when you have nothing to stand on.

If you didn't bother showing up... that would be an improvement...

All types will be in there... I don't see the gamey one's being welcomed.

I made a statement about fork not you... you only chimed in because you fly that way all the time, no phone required. Fork passed along what was going on and I understood exactly what happened.

"I've tried it a few times seems like there was always a big team against the small team, and nobody willing to switch to even it out."

I flew quite a bit in the AvA some tours back, mainly bombers but the occasional fighter sortie too. As a Brit with a feeling for history, I prefer to fly for the Allies. I'm sure that there are others who prefer to fly only for the Luftwaffe. You make a fair point but I suggest if you want more choice and don't mind fighting a three-cornered war, stick to the MA.

Happy trails!

They are working on it. It will eventually pan out. Right now we just need some numbers. With Mondays coming along I think it is only a matter of time before the other days start fleshing out.

Zoney,

Join in on the fun.  The more the merrier.  There is no formal welcome mat, but if you are old enough, the beer flows freely in our virtual Officer's Club / Forum (if you can't tell from our posts).  We may lay it on a bit thick on the BBB, but in the air you see multiple <S>s, Good Jobs, and Way To Go's  handed out constantly.

You really have to come and see what it is about (like TC said be sure to read the Arena Message / MOTD).  Mostly, climb as high as you want, depending on the set of players you most likely will have to come down to have any fights.  One of the fun characteristics of the Arena, is that in about 2 minutes you can have an engagement.  If you get BnZ'ed, you learn to evade and make the Zoomer loose his E.

The one thing that I have learned is that even the harshest (putting it in PC terms) critic, or frequently criticized player, will offer up valuable advice on how to improve skills.  So, this might be better renamed the Training Arena for grown ups  :lol (just kidding TC, after having played since  :old: '99, I go to the Training Arena to get advice, that always seems to help step up my game).

You are correct, choosing your ride and playing the game, as Hitech has done a wonderful job in creating it, will always be a bigger draw.  I really hope that you keep stopping in.  Having flown with you guys Duxford Wing, you are exactly what the doctor ordered.  Your Squad and Bruv's squad are almost mirror images, US/Euro players with large enough numbers to balance the fight.  Jimson, had even offered up an "Afternoon Event" that would be favorable for my over seas friends.  Let's keep our fingers crossed that your next visit will be better.

You and gavagi just seemed to want you're own little dueling session.

If there's only 3 of us, and I'm on the side with 2, I'm not going to gang the 1.  Add in more people I promise I won't fight fair.

As most know shufflet is a self absorbed cartoon hero that does no wrong.  He and the tub'o'krya are the ambassadors of all that is right with this game and any problem they encounter can only be that fault of other players.  If it wasn't for 4 or 5 other players these merry men would be in the AvA right now having the time of they're cartoon lives.

Get over it guys.

Once more so maybe you can stop with the JG54 vs Karaya crap.   It is now on YOU and not me.   I'm long OVER it Dinan.  However, there is a blatant issue that if corrected, I'd return.   Squelch is simple when people cannot contain themselves.   But allowing one player free reign on 200 and when anyone civilly responds.  Is then told "if you continue, you'll be muted".  All the while the inflammatory jerk is still spewing forth his attacks (was never sent a Warning or else it would have curtailed).   That "Moderator" should have his Moderating Privileges revoked.    End of story.

Actually, IDGAF about "planes I can fly".   For me it is about "not playing favorites".   Stew on that last sentence a bit.   I don't go in their primarily because of that part, it is not needed in this game at all.   It's disappointing, because I'm just as happy in Early War/Mid War rides as anything else.   Actually, it's not disappointing, it's a shame.

Edit:   Before anyone from JG54 jumps on that, don't, it isn't directed at you.   But who "it is" posted in this thread recently.   So don't bother dredging up any "conspiracy theories".   It is well known for those who were there, what happened and all agree, "it was uncalled for".

Larry got it and was civil in his reply.   However, two members of the same group, seem to have difficult time with it, especially when I haven't BASHED JG54 in this entire thread.    I've let it go Dinan, you haven't.   :salute

Everyone is welcome on Monday nights.

All I ask is that you keep in mind that we want people to want to come back.

Set aside past differences.

Fly with sportsmanship (at least a little)

Of course you should clear your buddies 6, this isn't a series of one on one duels, but use common sense, don't gang 5v1.

Avoid HO's and vulching.

Use 200 only for encouragement and friendly comments.

Give salutes and make it an enjoyable experience for all. One that people will want to return to.

Chilli, again, thanks for the heads up.  I can clearly see past the BS rhetoric common in the main and will ignore it.  Gents, expect me on Monday nights.  I will talk to my squaddies (II/JG27 Afrika), and see if I cant bring a couple with me.  And yeah, I am a Luftwaffe pilot.   :rock        :salute

Your making a strong push to get this thing back to where it once was. Lots of talk about the AVA on the boards now which is good. Your creating excitement..... keep up the good work.
