The 3 Most Desired Aircraft
« on: April 28, 2000, 06:16:00 PM »
Hello, I am here with pictures and brief discriptions of the 3 aircraft I most desire to see in Aces High.

#1:

Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina

Aces High is badly in need of a recognizance plane! This aircraft could also drop bombs/torpedoes. For take off from water, water would have to be animated into AH (I think the time has come). More specs could be found on the net.

#2:

Gruman FAF-3 Wildcat

A fighter/dive bomber with a high powered engine. More specs could be found on the net.

#3:

Boeing-Stearman N2S-2 Kaydet

Aces High needs a biplane an I need a trainer! This plane would be good practice for both its flyers and its attackers! More specs could be found on the net.

That's it! Thanks.

Hey, HTC, I could help with the modeling of these planes with 3d Studio type formated models, email me at willow@intelos.net.

Thanks,

Be nice, SnakeEyes. He did say these were the planes he most wanted to see in AH.

I don't know about the biplane, but the other two are cool!

I duno, I think he has a point about the Biplane. It would be good for a general flight trainer. I like everything apart from the F4, but that's my own personal preference...

We already have a Relaxed Realism training aircraft. Or two; Spit V and Spit IX  .

The two other aircraft would be nice Big Juicy Targets.

OTOH, can you imagine a long range strike deep into the training fields of the enemy? Nice yellow PT-17 targets buzzing helplessly like gnats on a warm summer's eve.... blue death dashing in-and-out with shark-like efficiency...

These are the things that make me smile...

While it's importance as an "eye in the sky" cannot be dismissed, I have deep reservations about the PBY, Any plane that was said to "climb, dive, and fly at 90mph" would not have much of a future in the arena.

This is a subliminal message (P61) that is intended (P61) to convince your (P61) subconscience (P61) that we need (P61) another fighter bomber (P61) that has plenty of firepower (P61) as well as extreme (P61) manueverability (P61) and is one of (P61) the coolest planes ever (P61) designed.  If (P61) you have the number (P61) 61 in your head for the (P61) next few days (P61) it is because of (P61) your desire (P61) to have  the P61 in the game!

RIPSNORT,

I have had the message in my mind for years.  I would love to see the P61 to show up.  THe first thing people would say is.."WAYYY Its a NIGHT FIGHTER"  YES butttt.  It did perfrom daylight and nighttime Fighter Bomber roles.  THere are P61s that have a Olive Drab paintscheme not the BLACK. Soooo, I say bring it on!  And saying it should not be allowed due to it beeing a NIGHTFIGHTER.. is NOT as excuse.
