It's totally feasible. China attacks without warning, hacking into our computer system, paralyzing the country.

Our group of heroic l33t gamerz retreats in pairs into basements to fight back against the Commie onslaught, frantically trying to maintain their Facebook status, Tweeting the latest tactical moves to each other, fueled only by waning bags of Cheetos, a few pizza bagel bites and cans of Amp, and the need to habitually insert the word 'like' several times into every sentence.

If we have to depend on today's youth to fight off an invasion... gl.   :uhoh

Don't worry homie G, yall N*****rs in da hood wil go all gangsta shicze on dem commie motwittlers.

Yep your doomed.

It's a good premise for entertainment and to scare kids.

'Overwhelming' the defenses of the USA is just not possible by any combination of adversaries on this planet.

The limiting factor of an AWACS guided F-15 is how many missiles it can carry ..with AWACS tracking the Eagle doesn't even have to turn on it's radar.
..and that was back in the '70's.. and that is just one single weapon system.

'Sneakin' the troop planes in disquised as commercial airliners ...another great premise for entertainment ..  good luck with *that* ..not sayin a dedicated very high roller adversary could'nt try it .. just sayin the tactic would have more than a few problems to overcome ..not the least of them being big, fat, and slow ..and forget about low altitude drops anywhere near a hawk battery
..and even the Guard has tons of 'em.

They did all right in Vietnam, Korea and WW2 didn't they? and Cuba rings a bell too. But I'm not here to start a Commie flaming debate.

Many would postulate that China simply changed tactics in the latter 20th century; their goal is still the same.

When your "enemy" depends upon you for most manufactured goods and that competition shuts most of his factories down( not to mention you are his bank that lends him all his money to pay for wars that are actually of interest to you) ....aren't you then controlling your enemy?

Psh, send 'em down to Texas, that'd be a real movie with just the Chinese trying to get from the coast to Austin.

Real movie would be Texas invading America.  :noid

Vietnam and Korea the US military had thier hands tied.

WW2? It would have been different if Hitler didn't have to fight the US and Britan.

If anyone wanted to subjugate this nation, all they would have to do is launch an EMP attack against us.  Sit back a few months, then come in and reap the resources.

Well that could be said about any modern country, the only places that wouldn't work is on a 3rd world nation, but who wants to invade them.

But a large part of our military command is shielded against EMP, so they'd still have to deal with them.

If Stewart said it, it wasn't one of the episodes I saw, so, yeah. Original. Thanks for the heads up though, maybe I'll put in an app to be a writer and start making some cash.  :aok

The best way to invade this country would be with a few well placed operatives within the federal government that would push policy to devalue the currency and make guarding the borders ineffective.  It would take a long time but could be accomplished without firing a shot.

... if and when we are eventually attacked, it will be over the border with mexico. Path of least resistance. Just pay a couple of pesos to the so called police and military there. You can put boots on the ground and build up the equipment just over the border.
